To build and unbuild, to navigate the world and its chaos, to find a way through together. A participatory solo performance, Anitya – Impermanence places a body in dialogue with a tangled web of stretched threads. A talented aerial rope artist, Inbal Ben Haim creates a work of striking visual beauty and scale, where everything seems capable of transformation.

In Sanskrit, anitya means “non-eternity”. A founding principle of Buddhist philosophy, it invites both acceptance of change and the art of letting go. Having experienced exile, family separation and the instability of war, the artist draws on her own history to make tangible the turbulence of a world in constant flux. Yet she does not face the wreckage alone. The audience accompanies her, helping to untangle the knots that hold her back and, through the combined force of many hands, lift her into the air. Once confronted with the void, another question emerges: how — and what — do we rebuild together?
